23-year-old man arrested for cheating

: A 23-year-old man who posed as a Sub-Inspector and reportedly duped 11 unemployed youth of Rs 11 lakh with the promise of getting them jobs in the police department was arrested here today, police said.
Selvaraj was taken in for questioning after a quarrel with the public and on questioning he revealed his involvement in duping the youth.
The man was later arrested based on a complaint from an engineering graduate, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vivekanandan said.
He was arrested under sections 170, 171 and 420 of IPC.
