Sattaar (45), Mehraj (38) and Babbu (35) died soon after drinking liquor at the shop yesterday evening, police said today.
Quoting Mehraj's wife Shamin Banoo, police said the three victims were found lying at Babbu's house with froth coming out of their mouths. They were taken to a nearby hospital, but were pronounced dead.
Following the deaths, a mob of angry locals attacked the liquor shop.
SP (city) Pawan Kumar and other police officials reached the spot and pacified the mob. Policemen have been deployed in the area to maintain peace.
