3 held for carrying smack, opium

In a special drive ahead of Lok Sabha polls, police today arrested three persons and recovered 1.250 kg of smack and 15 kg of opium in Bhawanimandi police station area of Jhalawar district.
The value of the seized drug in the international market is more than Rs 1.25 crore.
The three were booked under NDPC Act and are being interrogated, the police official said.
The police on Saturday had arrested one person for carrying 1.50 kg of opium in the same area.
