The victims were on their way to Medininagar in Palamau district when a truck coming from the opposite direction collided head on with it, the police said.
Three persons, including a woman, were killed on the spot while a 12-year-old girl sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, they said adding, a four-year-old girl also sustained minor injuries.
The victims were all residents of Redma in Medininagar, the police said adding, one of the victims has been identified as Sanjay Mishra (40).
