Three minor children of a family died today after they allegedly consumed poisoned food in Golapur village under Deep Nagar police station of Bihar's Nalanda district.
The deceased have been identified as Raushan Kumar (07), Nisha Kumari (05) and Shankar Kumar (03), Deep Nagar police station SHO Rahul said.
All the three children started vomitting after taking food in the morning following which they were rushed to Bihar Sharif Sadar hospital where doctors declared two of them dead. The third child died on way to Patna being taken for treatment, the SHO said.
District Magistrate Thyagrajan S M said that exact reason behind the death could be known only after getting the reports of post-mortem and Forensic Science Laboratory where sample of toxic food was sent for the examination.
