45 abandoned houses collapse due to subsidence in Jharkhand

Altogether 45 abandoned houses, including 15 Bharat Coking Coal Limited quarters, today collapsed following subsidence at Angar Pathra in Dhanbad district, a senior BCCL official said.
"The subsidence occurred between 3 AM and 3.30 AM. The area was declared dangerous last year itself," General Manager (BCCL-Area No. 4) A K Dutta said here.
Dhanbad Superintendent of Police Hemant Toppo said all the houses were abandoned and there was no casualty.
