The traders identified as, Ajay Verma, state president of Swarnkar Maidh Kshtriya Samaj, Raj Kishor Gupta, patron of Ghaziabad sarafa association, Rajendra Verma, Vinod Gupta and Anil Garg were arrested and brought to Kotwali here.
"All of them were challaned under section 151 of CrPC (Arrest to prevent the commission of cognisable offences), and were released on personal bond by city magistrate," SHO Kotwali Dheerendra Yadav said.
On the other hand, the Sarafa and other bullion traders association have announced that in case a trader immolates himself, an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh will be disbursed to his family members, Ajay Verma said.
