5-year-old girl sexually abused; accused absconding

A five-year-old girl was allegedly sexually abused by a teenage boy, who allured her to his home in Nadia district on the pretext of giving her a lozenge.
The police said the alleged assault took place on last night at Gayeshpur village under Shantipur police station.
The victim's mother filed a complaint with the Shantipur police station today, the police said, adding the accused is absconding and the girl has been admitted to a hospital.
