55-year-old woman found murdered at her residence

A 55-year-old woman was found murdered, with her limbs tied with a rope, at her residence in southwest Delhi's Bijwasan area today.
The woman was identified as Vimla Devi, who lived with her son and daughter-in-law.
Her body was found around 12 pm today by her relatives, who called up the police control room.
Her limbs were tied with a rope and she suffered severe injuries on her head and forehead, said a senior police officer.
The police did not rule out the probability of an existing property dispute as a motive behind the murder, but refrained from drawing any conclusion before further investigation.

The case is being probed from all possible angles, including personal enmity and robbery, said the senior officer.
A case under Section 302 (murder) of IPC has been registered at Kapashera police station, said the officer.
