A total of 74,000 Lord Ganesha idols were immersed in Hussain Sagar and other lakes here Sunday and Monday, bringing the curtains down on the 11-day festivities, officials said.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation cleared 5,790 tonnes of puja material and trash on the occasion, an official release said.
GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore said the civic staff were continuously engaged in the immersion process and clearing the trash.
