8 arrested for gambling

Eight persons have been arrested for allegedly indulging in gambling in central Delhi's Kotwali area and Rs 1.05 lakh recovered from them, police said today.
On receiving information about eight men gambling on a footpath on the Mor Sarai Road, police arrested them.
The eight men have been identified as Rajeev, Prabhu Dayal, Puran, Anil Sharma, Mohan, Jai Prakash and Mahender, they added.
Police also recovered Rs 1.05 lakh in new 2,000 and 500 rupee notes from them.
