9 inmates injured in group clash in jail

Nine inmates of Mandal Jail in the Garhwa district were injured in a clash between two groups today.
"All the injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital," Deputy Superintendent of Police Heera Lal Ravi said.
The clash started after the jailer was tipped that a sword was hidden in ward number one, he said.
The clashing inmates used utensils and other daily-use items in the jail to inflict injuries on one another, he said.
