950 cartoons of smuggled liquor seized in Ghaziabad

Joint teams of Indirapuram police and excise department has seized 950 cartoons of country-made foreign liquor smuggled from Haryana, police said today.
Following a tip-off, the teams stopped a truck near UP Gate for checking and recovered 11,400 full bottles worth around 50 lakhs inside the truck, Deputy Superintendent of Police Atul Yadav said.
Police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver Gulchain Singh, the officer said.
