The award will be given to Isaacs, 66, in recognition of the Academy Film Archive, which, with over 180,000 items, is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and exhibition of films, said The Hollywood Reporter.
The archive includes all the best-picture Oscar winners over the years, as well as personal collections from the likes of Cecil B DeMille, George Stevens, Fred Zinnemann, and Sam Peckinpah.
"It is an honour and a pleasure to have Cheryl Boone Isaacs join us," announced Ischia festival founder Pascal Vicedomini and honorary chairman Mark Canton in a statement.
