Justice Pushpa Sathyanarayana gave the direction while disposing of a writ petition filed by Monal, a transgender, who moved the court for its intervention, claiming she did not receive a call letter for the interview sessions scheduled for February 5 and 8 despite sending her application.
The judge saidinduction of transgenders in government service would have a social impact andhoped that the petitioner, after getting appointed to the post, would serve with dedication and commitment, besides advancing the cause of transgenders.
