"At a time when UPA has crossed all limits of corruption, BJP has done the right thing by making Modi the campaign panel head as he has never faced charges of corruption and is known for his administrative efficiency," Khanduri told reporters here yesterday.
The party will benefit from this decision in 2014 Lok Sabha polls, he said.
However, he said assigning Modi the responsibility of running the affairs of the party's campaign panel and the importance and stature of Advani in the party are separate issues.
When asked why he did not attend the party's national executive in Goa, Khanduri said he had planned to go there but ill health forced him to cancel his programme.
