Aim of education is to ensure growth of human values: Hry

Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today said the main aim of education is to ensure growth of human values.
"Education does not hold any significance for those who do not have a sense of responsibility toward the country and society," he said addressing the 4th Convocation of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology here.
As varsity chancellor, Solanki conferred Honoris Causa Doctorate degrees to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and director Institute of Scientific Research on Vedas Saroj Bala.
He conferred Ph.D to 105, post graduate degree to 507 and graduate degree to 338 students. Besides, 103 toppers were given gold medals.

"Everyone cannot fulfil their dream to attain higher education. Every youth attaining degree from this university should aim to make active contribution in the development of the country and society," he said.
"Ability to read and write and get degrees is not the only aim of education. The transformation of society with your participation is more important," he added.
