Air passenger held for smuggling gold

An air passenger, who arrived here from Dubai, was today arrested for allegedly smuggling gold worth Rs 80 lakh.
Afsar Valluparambath of Kerala, who arrived this morning, was found carrying three kg of gold in his hand luggage, airport officials said.
He was arrested by the Air Intelligence Unit of Customs, they added.
