"Separate isolation wards will be set up in all three government-run medical colleges and district headquarter hospitals for treatment of swine flu patients. Chief district medical officers (CDMO) and superintendents of the medical colleges have been issued directions in this regard," Nayak said.
He said a team of doctors has been formed to attend swine flu patients and adequate medicines have been stocked.
The minister was here to attend the students' union function of MKCG Medical College and Hospital. He reviewed the preparedness of medical college and city hospital here to treat swine flu cases with the authorities and chief district medical officer (CDMO), Ganjam.
Nayak said the person who came from New Delhi and tested positive for H1N1 virus was stable. Another person who was reportedly tested positive for influenza, was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Besides these two cases, no other case of swine flu was reported in the state, he added.
