Amateur rock music acts to battle it out in online contest

The stage is set for budding Indian rock artists to showcase their talent at an online contest here next month.
At the "Find Your Freedom contest" of Harley Rock Riders- Season 5, amateur rock music acts are set to vying for user votes with a jury voting to pick out the two best original compositions.
The winning bands would then perform at the Harley Rock Riders - Season V here next month. Winners of that would go on to perform at the 18th edition of the European Bike Week, 2015 in Austria - the largest gathering of motorcycles in Europe and the second largest in the world.

The jury this year comprises Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy - Scribe frontman and Ad man, Arjun S Ravi - Co-founder of NH7 and Editor of Indiecision, and XBHP - The Global Indian Motorcycling Community.
The two finalists would then battle it out on stage at winners Harley Rock Riders- Season V on November 15 and November 16.
At a ground ballot festival goers get to vote for their favorite act.

Organisers said only English and instrumental sound tracks would be accepted for entries.
Last year, 120 bands participated in the contest and approximately 80,000 votes were cast to select 3 bands that battled it out at the finale of Harley Rock Riders-Season IV.

Chennai based band -Grey Shack were adjudged winners after a stellar onstage performance earning their spot at the European Bike Week 2014 in Austria.
Harley Rock Riders is a festival that brings rock music and motorcycle lovers together. The line-up includes over 20 bands with some of the biggest names in Indian rock music like Zero, Scribe, Blackstratblues and Undying Inc, alongside Grammy-nominated American alt-rockers Mutemath.
