Ashwin Subramanian of Maharashtra became the winner in the cadet boy's category after he defeated Udit Bhattacharya of West Bengal 4-2, while the cadet girls' title was bagged by Prapti Sen of West Bengal who defeated Yashi of Punjab 4-1.
Anirban, who had beaten quite a few seniors in the last couple of years, had little difficulty in putting it across Arjun.
After taking the first two games rather easily, he was extended in the third game, which saw some excellent fight back by Arjun, but Anirban managed to win it 14-12.
The West Bengal lad then shut out Arjun in the fourth to stamp his authority.
As for the sub-junior girls' final, Harsha Vardhani showed some glimpses of a comeback but north Bengal's Sagarika proved too strong for her Tamil Nadu opponent.
