It was yet another hot day for Delhiites as maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 41.1 degrees Celsius, which was a notch above the normal but marginally less from yesterday.
The weather stations at Palam, Ayanagar, Ridge and Lodhi road recorded maximum temperature of 43.2, 42, 42.5 and 40.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to MeT department officials, people woke up to a cloudy morning but it was just a matter of hours that the scorching sun was back, making life difficult for Delhiites.
The minimum temperature at Safdarjung, considered the official figure for the city, settled at 26.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below season's average, MeT officials said.
The heat also brought down the humidity in air, which oscillated between 46 and 25 per cent.
MeT department has predicted clear skies for tomorrow.
"The skies will be mainly clear tomorrow. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 41 and 27 degrees respectively," the MeT forecast said.
Yesterday, the day temperature had settled at 41.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius.
