"There are forces which incite sentiments of people with an intention of stopping Punjab's development and progress, and such forces tend to create a situation in Punjab as now in Paris and other countries," Sukhbir said while addressing a meeting of Akali workers at Gurudwara Nankana Sahib today.
Earlier in the day addressing the workers, Sukhbir reiterated his resolve to expose anti-Sikh and anti-national forces behind the recent incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib as well as those who were launching vicious attacks on Akal Takht, Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) and tenets of Sikhism.
Responding to the claims by Sikh radical leaders towards the arrest of a Panthic leader, Sukhbir said that "no arrest (of Panthic leader) has been made."
Yesterday, SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann had alleged that police was not allowing him to move out of his residence at Talaniya village in Fatehgarh Sahib.
Lashing out at the Congress party, Sukhbir alleged that the Congress Party, which was responsible for attack on Golden Temple in 1984, was now desperate to come back in political mainstream by resorting to methods which endangers the security and atmosphere of peace in the state.
