Filmmakers Mira Nair and Aparna Sen, fashion designer Ritu Kumar, actress Aditi Rao Hydari, journalist Basharat Peer, sports writer Boria Majumder, Indian pop singer Usha Uthup and others would be present at the festival.
"Books are the destinations and journeys. The literary fest, which started in 2010, provides an opportunity to readers to engage them into dialogue and discourse," a spokesperson on behalf of the organisers said during the announcement of the festival's 2018 edition yesterday.
British Deputy High Commissioner Bruce Bucknell said, "Written word do get into people's heads. That is why written word is so important."
