The two-day art event 'Beyond Frontiers' is aimed at dwelling on the untold stories of border areas during partition and will begin tomorrow, a spokesman of organiser Calcutta Arts Initiative said.
Among the participants will be Shahidul Alam, well known activist, educator and curator from Dhaka, 'Wagah' documentary maker Supriyo Sen, well-known Bengali singer Moushumi Bhowmik and popular alternative theatre actor Tanmay Dhanania.
The event will also deliberate on the issue of identity of the displaced, their memory, pain of loss and the absurdity of artificial borders, through photography exhibitions, film shows, music performance and talk shows, he said.
"I am looking forward to the response of Kolkata audience at the unique meet," Sen, who had got three national awards including Swarna Kamal for the same documentary, said.
