The incident occurred when the driver, a replacement for the regular driver who ferries the teenager to college in Eluru, stopped the vehicle between Peda Vengi village and Eluru and touched her inappropriately, they said.
The girl, however, managed to escape from the spot and straightway approached a police station, following which a case was registered against the accused, identified as Raju, said Eluru DSP Satti Babu.
