After receiving a cheque of Rs two crore from the State Bank of India (SBI) for the relief work, Bahuguna said that he would visit Uttarkashi along with disaster management minister Yashpal Arya on Aug 14 or Aug 16 to take the stock of the situation there.
The chief minister has already made extensive tour of the district this week.
Bahuguna said he is monitoring the situation in the Uttarkashi regularly and asked the district administration to remain alert in this regard.
The chief minister also asked the people to contribute towards the relief work and lauded the efforts of social organisations for their efforts to help the disaster affected families.
