"The state cabinet has cleared the decision today stating that a special recruitment drive will be taken up with an immediate effect in this regard," state's Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Subrata Mukherjee said here today.
"The same quotas were there during the time of LF government, but it failed to complete the recruitment process utilising the entire quota earmarked for the SC and ST category in the state," Mukherjee said.
There are 9,923 vacancies under SC category and 3,441 vacancies underST category.
Out of these vacancies, he said that 3,354 vacancies for SC and 1,159 vacancies for ST categories would be filled up immediately in various departments following a special recruitment drive, he said.
