"The unit has been commissioned at the 1x600 Mw Jhabua Thermal Power Project (TPP) located in Seoni district in Madhya Pradesh," BHEL said in a release.
The project has been developed by Jhabua Power Ltd (JPL), a subsidiary of Avantha Power & Infrastructure Limited (APIL).

BHEL's scope of work in the contract envisaged design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of steam turbine, generator and boiler, along with associated auxiliaries and electricals, besides controls and Instrumentation and electrostatic precipitators, it added.
BHEL is currently executing two supercritical units of 800 Mw for NTPC at Gadarwara in Madhya Pradesh.
