Bhim Singh claims he was prevented from visiting gutted shrine

"I and other party colleagues were detained by police while on our way to Khanyar to pay respect to Dastgeer Sahib shrine which was gutted on Monday," he told reporters here.

Some members of the secretariat and working committee of the Kashmir province of Panthers Party were also detained at TRC crossing, Singh said.

A party spokesman alleged Singh was prevented from visiting the shrine on instructions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
