In a letter to the Chief Minister, Mehra said Bharti, while representing one accused Pawan Kumar as his lawyer in a corruption case, was indicted for tampering with evidence by the court.
"Since your party has come with an agenda to fight against corruption and... A person indicted by a court for interfering with the evidence cannot be a Law Minister of the state", the letter said.
"An unlawful lawyer cannot be the Law Minister...And he should me immediately fired," Mehra said.
Mehra said BJP will give two days to the goverment and if no action is taken by that time, the party will launch an agitation.
