Brick kilns and hotels to have sanitory toilets

To stop open defecation, the owners of brick kilns and roadside hotels of Nadia district have been asked to arrange for sanitory toilets for the workers and passengers.
"There is no provision of toilet or wash room in 516 brick kilns and more than a thousand roadside hotels in the district. Sanitory toilets will have to be set up in these places," District Magistrate P B Salim said.
Bani Roy, Sabhadhipati of Nadia Zilla Parishad said, "Most of the labourers who come from Jharkhand and Bihar are not used to use toilets. So, the owners should step up to aware them."
Nadia has a target to stop open defecation by March.
