Bright sunny day in Delhi after rains

It was a bright sunny day in national capital today with the mercury settling at above 33 degree Celsius, after rains lashed the city for four consecutive days bringing the temperature down.
The maximum temperature today was recorded at 33.7 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average while the minimum temperature settled at 23.3 degrees Celsius, four notches below the normal, a MeT department official said.
Safdarjung observatory, the reading of which is considered the official figure for the city received 7.1 mm rainfall whereas areas including Palam, Lodhi Road, Ridge and Aya Nagar was recorded at 2.0 mm, 6.7 mm, 2.6 and 16.0 mm till 8.30 AM respectively.
"No rains were recorded in the city between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM," said the official.
The humidity in air oscillated between 62 per cent and 95 per cent.
The otherwise sunny day had a few intermittent cloudy spells.
The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy skies for tomorrow.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. Thundery development may occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 35 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively," the MeT official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature had plunged to 26.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 23 degrees Celsius.
