The airport police has registered a case in this regard and has let off the couple after it was found the act was inadvertent.
"Constable Jagbir Singh who is posted at IP police station was intercepted by airport security after two live cartridges were recovered from his wife's hand bag. He has explained that the act was inadvertent and he will be producing his weapon license to us," DCP (IGIA) D K Gupta said.
The incident was reported around 9:20am.
Officials said people are let off in such cases after registering a case if there is nothing incriminating and the act is not doubtful.
