She succeeds Kai Chan, who will be leaving the company on August 31, after a five-year tenure, Carlson Wagonlit Travel said in a statement.
Commenting on the development, Carlson Wagonlit Travel CEO Kurt Ekert said: "Asia Pacific is the world's fastest- growing market for corporate travel - there are huge opportunities here".
Bindu is perfect for her new role, with her proven entrepreneurial skills, commercial savvy, and deep understanding of the global travel market, she will hit the ground running, he added.
Ann Marie Stone will be taking over Bindu's current role, also effective September 1, reporting to Global Program Solutions Executive Vice President Cathy Voss, it added.
Carlson Wagonlit Travel currently has more than 18,000 people in nearly 150 countries.
