DSP RC Meena, posted in Economic Offence Wing (EOW), SI Surinder Kumar and two industrialists, Aman Grover and Sanjay Dahuja, were arrested by the CBI sleuths yesterday, police said.
Complainant Gurkirat Chawla had alleged in her complaint that the DSP had sought money through Dahuja for not arresting G S Chawla, her father who owns a petrol pump in Mohali and his relatives who are booked in a 2011 forgery case here, they said.
The money was allegedly delivered to Sanjay and Aman yesterday evening and the accused even called the DSP confirming that the money had been received.
After that, CBI sleuths who were stationed outside EOW office in sector 17 here, arrested both DSP and SI.
