Chennai to host 16th Russian Education Fair beginning Saturday

A two-day Russian Education Fair is starting this Saturday where several institutions of Russia, including medical and engineering universities, would participate in the 16th edition of the event here.
The fair will begin from June 6 at Russian Cultural Centre.
Chennai would see participation of several government universities and would offer on the spot admission on merits across under graduate and post graduate programmes, Consulate General of the Russian Federation in South India, Vice Consul (Cultural), Mikhail J Gorbatov said in a release.
"Currently, there are about 5,000 students from India studying at various arts and science, engineering and medical institutions," the release said.

Classes for the 2015-16 academic year would begin from September one and Fair would also be conducted in Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai and Delhi, the release said.
