During a meeting here with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Singh also demanded a special package of Rs 3,000 crore for overall development of the Naxal-affected Bastar region.
He said that the special package would strengthen the efforts of the state government to ensure employment and development in the area and pave way for peace and progress of Bastar.
The chief minister said a 24-hour Doordarshan channel would benefit people living in remote areas of Chhattisgarh, a release issued by the state government said.
Due to non-clearance of import, he said, entrepreneurs have to go to Nagpur and Visakhapatnam, resulting in wastage of money and time.
