Children fall down from motorcycle after hearing blast sound

Two children were injured after they fell from their motorcycle hearing the sound of a blast in Karimnagar town on Friday, police sources said.
According to Karimnagar Two Town Police Station House Officer, the contractor of Subhashnagar locality area had carried out blasts to clear stones in order to execute underground drainage works in Karimnagar town.
Since the contractor did not follow safety measures like alerting the public while conducting blasts, a motor cyclist, his wife and two children, passing through the area, heard the blast sounds and fell down from their vehicle.
Siddartha (5) and Lasyasri (3) sustained injuries after they were sent to Karimnagar District Headquarters hospital, where their condition is reported to be safe.

The contractor has been taken into custody and a probe is on, the police said.
