Acting on a complaint by one Md Mokhtar, a Vigilance Investigation Bureau (VIB) team under DSP Gopal Paswan laid a trap and nabbed the CO Shashibhushan from Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) office at Sherghati as soon as he took Rs 10,000 as bribe from the complainant, an official release said.
Shashibhushan posted at Mohanpur, had demanded the bribe for the said amount for removal of encroachment, it said.
The Vigilance Department has laid 49 traps and arrested 52 government servants on graft charge so far this year.
