Congress members walk out from WB Assembly

Congress members today walked out from the West Bengal Assembly demanding a statement by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the killing of a Youth Congress leader in Hooghly district.
Congress Legislature Party leader Avijit Rehman demanded a briefing by the chief minister, who was not present in the House, on yesterday's killing.
Another party leader Mohammed Sohrab said that his party informed the House about the brutal killing and demanded the arrest of those responsible.
"The CM was not present in the House, so we staged a walkout," he said.
Abhijit Rahman, President of the Hooghly Loksabha Youth Congress Committee was beaten to death at Mogra in Hooghly district yesterday.
Reacting to the Congress demand, Trinamool Congress leader and Parliamentary affairs minister Partha Chatterjee said "What can I say? Adhir Chowdhury (WBPCC chief) himself is on anticipatory bail and he is demanding arrest of others.
