DD, CCTV sign MOU for co-productions, programme exchange

Doordarshan and China's state-run CCTV today signed an agreement for exchange of television programmes, promotion of co-production on themes of mutual interest and training production and technical staff.
The agreement was signed by Prasar Bharathi CEO Jawahar Sircar and his Chinese counterpart after the talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang expanding the cooperation between the two countries from films to television co-productions.
The agreement enables Doordarshn and CCTV to share programmes free of cost, Sircar said.
The exchange of programmes will cover culture, tourism programme to promote people-to-people relations.
