Dead NDRF personnel's family to get financial help: Hooda

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today expressed grief over the demise of Indian Air Force and NDRF personnel in a chopper crash in Uttarakhand including NDRF sub inspector Satish Kumar from Haryana.
Hooda conveyed his condolences to the members of the bereaved family of Kumar and announced financial assistance of Rs five lakh to next of kin of the sub inspector who belonged to Dudhwa village in Bhiwani district.
The Chief Minister also announced to Rs 2.50 lakh to the family of 13-year-old Sagar of Bibipur village in Karnal district, who died due to drowning in flood waters.
Hooda appealed to the people to donate liberally to 'Haryana Chief Minister's Relief Fund' to help the affected in the devastation caused by flash floods and landslides in Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, Krishna Mohan, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Revenue said people could contribute by crediting donations to account number 001434003100001 with the Haryana State Co-operative Apex Bank Limited, Secretariat Branch, Chandigarh.
He said, while the team constituted by Haryana government is already in Dehradun since June 21, four teams have been formed to coordinate relief operations who have so far sent 275 stranded persons by road and 40 by air back to their destinations.
According to reports 509 persons were still missing, he added.
