The delegation, led by Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), met the Governor at Raj Bhavan here and apprised him about the landslide that has created an artificial lake due to blockage in the flow of river Phuktal in Zanskar subdivision.
They informed him that as a precautionary measure the movement of locals as well as tourist on the Chadar Trek has been stopped, an official spokesperson of Raj Bhawan said.
The delegation also informed the Governor about the difficulties being faced by them on account of non-release of Annual Plan 2014-15 allocations.
"The Governor spoke to the Planning Secretary and the Finance Secretary in this regard and asked them to undertake necessary actions within a day," the spokesperson said.
The Governor emphasised the need to give top priority to tourism-related infrastructure projects in Ladakh region.
