Delhi Transit bus info on web, android apps

Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transport System (DIMTS) has come up with a web and android mobile application that helps in planning a journey on a cluster bus in a more effective way.
The application helps in finding out the total estimated travel time in a bus or finding out the estimated time of arrival, trip planner, tracking an orange coloured Delhi Transit buses, a DIMTS statement said.
It would also give the real time information of orange colour buses, run under cluster scheme by DIMTS a joint venture of Delhi government and IDFC Foundation, running on the road and their estimated time of arrival at a bus stop.

A user have to key in the route number of the bus that one intends to take.
This will give the passenger the list of bus stops along with the estimated arrival time of the bus at each stop.
"If there is no direct route, users can use the trip planner which will give information on interchange points for another bus route," it said, adding even the non-bus users, can get an estimate of the time they will take to travel through a particular route.
For this, an Android mobile user can download Delhi Transit Bus Info application from Google Play Store and go to the estimated time arrival option and select 'By Route'.

A web users can go to DIMTS website and click on 'Bus information for Orange coloured Delhi Transit buses and use the web application in the similar way, the statement said.
