The company had posted a net profit of Rs 86.96 crore in July-September period of the previous fiscal year.
Its consolidated total income from operations was up 3.57 per cent to Rs 779.29 crore during the period under review as against Rs 752.42 crore of the corresponding quarter a year ago, Dish TV said in a BSE filing.
Its total expenses were up 7.63 per cent at Rs 678.55 crore in the said quarter as against Rs 630.44 crore in the same period last year.
During the quarter ARPU (Average revenue per user) of Dish TV was up to Rs 162 as against Rs 161 in Q2 of the last fiscal.
"During the quarter we have added 2.6 lakh new subscriber with a closing net subscriber base of 15.1 million," said Dish TV CEO Arun kapur.
Total income from operation in the first half of the current fiscal was up 4.61 per cent at Rs 1,557.86 crore as against Rs 1,489.10 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of Dish TV today settled at Rs 95.90 on BSE, up 0.47 per cent from previous close.
