DJB officials explained that earlier, sewage was flowing in open drains in Chanakya Place, Sita Puri, Keshoram Park, New Jankipuri colonies but now the sewage will be conveyed to the Pappankalan sewerage treatment plant (STP) where the sewage will be treated and only clean treated effluent will be discharged into the Yamuna River.
Likewise, the sewage flowing in open drains in Jai Bharat Enclave Amar shopping complex Kakroula Moad, Bhagwati Garden Extension, Uttam Nagar and Bhagwati Garden (Najafgarh Road) colonies will now be conveyed to the Nilothi STP and post treatment, it will be discharged into the river course.
