Gynaecologist Dr Shan-i-Alam of Sub district Hospital Kupwara and part-time sweepers Naseema and Nazir Ahmad Mochi were arrested for killing the baby whose body was fished out from a stream on October 10, police said.
After thorough investigation, the baby's mother was traced and she revealed the name of doctor and two others who had carried out the illegal delivery and subsequently murdered the baby before throwing the body into the nallah, they said.
All the three accused have been remanded to police custody, they said.
