Sisodia held a meeting with officials of the department and gave directions in this regard.
"Government received several complaints that some members of Wakf Board are violating the rules. There were also complaints about the irregularities in the funcationing of the Board," said a senior government official.
According to the government, the department's officials will probe the alleged irregularities and violation of rules and if anyone is found guilty in the report, government will take strict action
Meanwhile, in order to bring "transparency" in city's Housing Societies, Sisodia has directed officials concerned to put an accountability on the management committees of such societies.
"Government has directed officials to ensure that every housing society gives details of its earnings to its members," an official said.
The official added that due to "irregularities" in housing societies, residents have to face a lot of problems and the government wants to bring transparency in the functioning of such societies and put the accountability on them.
