"This is crucial for us since it will help us regain recognition from the Election Commission (EC)," Ramdas Athawale told reporters here today.
He has urged the Sena-BJP alliance to expedite its seat sharing formula at the earliest.
The 14 seats demanded by the RPI are mostly located in Vidarbha and include Nagpur-North, Wardha, Katol, Badnera, Arjuni Morgaon, Washim and Balapur, among others, he said.
Trying to find a foothold for his party, Athawale has also demanded nationalisation of land and said he would soon concentrate on taking this matter forward.
